Foundation and Early Days
The hip-hop group Osnova was founded by Zayats and RaZiN as a hobby. Their early works, which they wrote but couldn't initially record due to limited resources, were inspired by the lack of accessible music production tools in their hometown. However, they managed to acquire sample discs, the ACID 2.0 program, and a microphone, and their creative process commenced.
Expansion and Recognition
Gradually, Osnova released tracks and CDs, hosting their own parties every weekend to share their music and receive feedback. They refined their styles with each performance and gained experience in the music industry. Eventually, they began selling their complete albums in schools and used the proceeds to purchase additional software.
Bruno, Zayats' cousin from Vuktyls, initially disapproved of their music but later joined the group after being impressed by one of their tracks. He contributed his vocals, adding another talented member to Osnova.
Collaborations and Hiatus
Osnova expanded further with the addition of Buiny, who brought new tracks that resonated with their audience. The group then connected with Pauk and joined his "Svet i T'ma" collective. This led to their first live performances, including Zayats and Bruno's solo sets and a few group appearances. However, the group experienced a brief hiatus as RaZiN pursued a solo project.
Reinvention and a New Chapter
After six months, Zayats received an email from an unknown sender, R2R, who offered to share their tracks. Upon listening to the disc, Zayats and Bruno were convinced of R2R's talent and welcomed him into the group, marking a new phase for Osnova.
Subsequent changes led to the creation of two offshoots: IstiNA (comprising Zayats and Buiny) and Starateli Ulits (featuring R2R and Bruno). However, the original Osnova lineup was eventually restored and remains intact today, consisting of Zayats, Buiny, Bruno, and R2R.
"Bratstvo IstiNY" and Future Plans
The group founded their own Ufa-based association, "Bratstvo IstiNY," as a platform to collaborate with other local groups and individual MCs. They believe in promoting talents and providing a space for emerging artists to showcase their work.
Personal Reflections
Zayats was born on February 18, 1986. He began rapping in 1999 and, despite attempts to pursue other paths, found himself drawn back to music. His educational background includes only nine years of schooling, but he believes that everything happens for a reason.
Zayats aspires to visit the memorials of Tupac Shakur and Bob Marley, create his own film and star in one, and publish a book. He also desires to leave a lasting legacy through his work.
While acknowledging that he lacks musical genius, Zayats views his music as a product of chance. He believes that with inspiration from true geniuses, he can achieve extraordinary results. He sees himself as an abstract artist, transcending musical and artistic boundaries.
Bruno Chikapuno was born on July 14, 1986, in Zlatoust. He later lived in Kazakhstan and eventually settled in Ufa. After completing his education, he worked various jobs while pursuing his passion for music.
Bruno initially played guitar in a band and attempted rapping. Upon meeting Zayats, the two discovered their shared interest in hip-hop and formed a partnership that has continued to this day. Bruno is self-described as young, handsome, intelligent, and talented.
