Ivan Cherezov, a renowned Russian biathlete, was born on November 18, 1980, in Izhevsk, Russia. His journey into biathlon began at the tender age of nine under the guidance of Vladimir Ignatyevich Novikov. Success soon followed, with Cherezov claiming victory at the Udmurtia Youth Championship in 1995.

Coaching and International Success

In 1996, Cherezov transitioned to the tutelage of Viktor Anatolyevich Churin, who remains his coach to this day. The year 2000 marked a turning point in his career, as he earned international accolades. At the European Championships, he secured silver in the individual race and gold in the relay. Subsequently, he became the World Junior Vice-Champion in the relay.

Education and Law Enforcement Background

Despite his athletic pursuits, Cherezov pursued his education at the Nizhny Novgorod Law Academy. Upon graduation, he joined the Ustinovsky ROVD in Izhevsk as a senior lieutenant of police. However, biathlon remained his primary focus, and he represented the Dynamo club while initially training with the Russian national team's second squad.
