Ivan Strinić: Croatian Footballer

Ivan Strinić (born July 17, 1987) is a Croatian professional footballer who plays as a left-back for Serie A club Sampdoria and the Croatia national team.

Early Career and Youth Teams

Strinić began his football career in Croatia, playing for youth academies before joining HNK Šibenik. He made his professional debut in 2006 and played for the club until 2011. During his time with Šibenik, he represented Croatia's under-17, under-19, and under-21 national teams.

Move to FC Dnipro

In January 2011, Strinić signed a four-year contract with Ukrainian Premier League club FC Dnipro. Reportedly, the transfer fee was 4 million euros. He made his debut for Dnipro in March 2011, scoring his first goal in a league match against FC Metalurh Zaporizhzhia. In March 2011, he scored the winning goal in a crucial match against FC Dynamo Kyiv.

Croatia National Team

Strinić has been a regular member of the Croatia national team since 2011. He was a part of the squad that qualified for the 2014 FIFA World Cup, but missed the tournament due to a pre-competition injury. Despite this setback, he has continued to play for the national team and has made over 50 appearances.

Current Club: Sampdoria

In 2018, Strinić signed a five-year contract with Serie A club Sampdoria. He has been a key player for the team, providing defensive solidity and offensive contributions. In 2022, he helped Sampdoria reach the Coppa Italia semi-finals.
