Biography of Ivian Sarcos
Ivian Sarcos is a Venezuelan model and the winner of the Miss World 2011 title. She was born in Guanare, Portuguesa, Venezuela. At the age of eight, Ivian became an orphan and was raised by nuns in a monastery in Cojedes. She had initially planned to follow in the footsteps of her caretakers and become a nun, but fate had other plans for her. Ivian discovered the world of high fashion and decided to pursue a career as a model.

In 2010, Ivian won the national beauty pageant Miss Venezuela, representing the state of Amasonas. She was crowned Miss Venezuela on October 28, 2010. On November 6, 2011, she became the winner of the Miss World 2011 pageant, which took place at the Earls Court exhibition center in London, United Kingdom. Interestingly, she did not win the bikini or model competitions, but her overall performance secured her the title of Miss World. Ivian became the sixth Miss World from Venezuela and the first since 1995.

According to Ivian, her victory would allow her to help those who are less fortunate in life, just as she had once been. She believes that her own experience of growing up without parents has made her resilient, but she also acknowledges that not everyone can overcome such hardships without support. Ivian received congratulations from the President of Venezuela, Hugo Chávez, through a phone call and on Twitter.

After winning the Miss World title, Ivian gave interviews to Univision and participated in a 7-hour special broadcast for the Venezuelan network Venivision. She also held a press conference in Caracas to celebrate her victory. Her success was featured in British magazine "Hello," Venezuelan magazines "Look Caras" and "OK!".

On January 4, 2012, Ivian was welcomed by President Hugo Chávez at the Miraflores presidential palace in Caracas, where he presented her with flowers and promised her government support. She also attended a celebratory lunch with the Duke of Edinburgh on November 16, 2011.
Currently, Ivian leads the activities of the "Belleza con Proposito" foundation, a charitable organization that provides assistance to those in need. In January 2012, she was crowned "Miss Grand Slam 2011" by Global Beauties.com and "Miss of the Year 2011" by salvicharm.com.
Throughout her reign as Miss World, Ivian traveled to various countries, including China, France, Ghana, Hong Kong, Ireland, Indonesia, Kenya, Russia, the United Kingdom, and the United States. On August 18, 2012, she passed on the Miss World crown to the next winner, Yu Wenxia from China.
