Acting Career
Liliana continued her acting career, appearing in TV projects such as "Infieles anónimos" (Anonymous Infidels), "Así es la vida" (That's Life), and "Marido a Sueldo" (Husband for Hire). Her last role was in the series "La Dama de Troya" in 2008, where her character wins the title of Queen of Bambuco, just like Liliana did in real life.

Personal Life and Tragedy
Liliana was in a relationship with Venezuelan actor Pablo Martin, known for his role as Juan Urdaneta in the series "Dora, la celadora" (Dora, the Guardian). There were also rumors of a romance between Liliana and former football player Faustino Asprilla, although they were never confirmed nor denied.

In 2006, Liliana fell in love with Leonidas Vargas, a Colombian drug lord who had amassed a multimillion-dollar cocaine empire. On January 8, 2009, Vargas was shot in a hospital room by two professional killers. Two days later, on January 10, Liliana and Vargas' brother, Fabio, were found dead near a hotel in Pradera. The police believed that the victims had been tortured before being killed. Their bodies were discovered bound, half-naked, and with adhesive tape wrapped around their heads. It was suspected that the murders were a revenge plot by rival drug traffickers trying to take control of Vargas' cocaine business.

The Investigation
A reward of 50 million pesos was offered for information leading to the capture of Liliana and Fabio's killers, but the crime remained unsolved. Liliana's last days were spent with her family in Neiva, celebrating the New Year, before the horrific events took place.
