Biography of Jack Clark

Professional British racing driver Jack Clark is the stepson of former Formula 1 and British Touring Car Championship driver Julian Bailey.

Debut in Circuit Racing

Clark made his debut in circuit racing in 2006 in the Formula BMW UK series with Nexa Racing. In his debut season, he earned only two points, placing him 22nd overall and 6th in the Rookie Cup. He also finished 25th in the World Final in Valencia.

Moving to Formula Palmer Audi

In the 2007 season, Clark moved to Formula Palmer Audi. Despite a disappointing start to the championship, scoring only 76 points in seven races, he showed progress by securing seven podium finishes in the remaining thirteen races. This included two victories at Brands Hatch and Croft. Clark finished 4th overall, just two points behind Jason Moore. He also participated in the Autumn Trophy, finishing 3rd in the championship, 16 points behind champion Robert Kin.

Continued Success in Formula Palmer Audi

Clark continued to compete in the series in 2008 and finished the season in 5th place. He achieved victories at Oulton Park and Brands Hatch, setting the fastest laps in both races. He also set the fastest lap at the Snetterton race. Clark participated in the Autumn Trophy for the second time, finishing 4th with one victory, two pole positions, and the fastest lap at the Brands Hatch round.

Moving to FIA Formula 2

In 2009, Clark joined the revived FIA Formula 2 series with car number 11.
