Reynor developed an interest in acting after playing a choirboy in Kevin Liddy's drama 'Country' in 1999. Between 2004 and 2010, he attended Belvedere College SJ, a Jesuit boys' school in Dublin, where he performed in numerous theatrical productions.

In early 2010, Reynor joined the cast of Kirsten Sheridan's thriller 'Dollhouse', which premiered at the Berlinale in 2012. Towards the end of 2011, he landed the leading role of alpha male Richard Karlsen in Lenny Abrahamson's highly anticipated drama 'What Richard Did'. In January 2013, he was cast as racer Shane Dyson in Michael Bay's sci-fi action film 'Transformers: Age of Extinction', the fourth installment of the popular franchise. Reynor starred alongside Mark Wahlberg and Nicola Peltz.
