Biography of Jacob Horner

Jacob Horner, a former overweight British teenager, had to work hard to lose 107 kilograms of excess weight. However, his weight loss journey has brought him new challenges due to his well-built muscles. At 16 years old, Horner weighed a whopping 177 kilograms, surpassing another famous British overweight teenager, Nathan Hewitt, by 31 kilograms.

Horner gained the extra weight in a typical and traditional way - through indulging in large portions of takeout food, fast food, and other delicious but unhealthy meals. This excess weight caused him constant bone and chest pains.

One day, Horner realized that he couldn't continue living this way and made the decision to radically change his life. He initially tried the "Cambridge Diet" - a special low-calorie diet consisting of branded cocktails, bars, soups, and porridge. He followed this diet for a couple of years, but started experiencing unpleasant symptoms.

After abandoning the Cambridge Diet, Horner switched to an even stricter regimen. For two years straight, he only ate oats, brown rice, and chicken. This radical change in his diet, combined with active sports training, yielded results - Horner successfully got rid of the extra fat. He deserves credit for accomplishing his goal brilliantly.

However, later on, Horner gained back 12 kilograms - but this time not as fat, but as muscle mass. Unfortunately, these 12 kilograms of muscles are now causing him more problems than the previous 107 kilograms of fat. The issue lies in the fact that, with these new kilograms, Horner is still formally considered overweight. As a result, he cannot expect the National Health Service (NHS) to pay for the much-needed surgery to remove the excess skin.

Like many former overweight individuals, after losing weight, Horner was left with stretched skin that hangs on his abdomen in unsightly and uncomfortable folds. The formal threshold for excess weight is a body mass index (BMI) over 25. Indeed, Horner's BMI is slightly higher, but medical officials do not consider how healthy the weight is for their patients. Therefore, Jacob is now suffering because he has achieved a body that is considered too good.

Unfortunately, Horner has three options: either accumulate the necessary funds himself, accept the folds as they are, or get rid of the muscle mass that is formally considered unhealthy. Each of these paths has its drawbacks.

It is unlikely that Horner will be able to earn the necessary amount in the near future, as the 20-year-old currently lives with his mother and is still searching for a job. He also does not want to leave the situation as it is, as the folds on his abdomen greatly affect his mental peace and self-confidence.

Horner is convinced that he deserves to enjoy his nearly perfect body as a reward for his hard work. The fact that his body is disfigured by the sagging skin completely negates any pleasure he could derive from it. He does not want to get rid of his muscles either - he has genuinely grown to love the gym and cannot imagine intentionally destroying the fruits of his labor.

According to Jacob's mother, Sharon, the refusal to pay for the operation has greatly upset her son. He worked tirelessly to transform his body, and by the age of 20, Horner had not even experienced half of the joys of life that his peers have already enjoyed.
