Becoming a Standout in Slovenian Basketball

Luka Blažič's basketball journey began with Triglav Kranj. From 2009 to 2011, he honed his skills at Slovan, showcasing his versatility as a shooting guard and small forward.

Joining the Slovenian Powerhouse

In July 2011, Blažič made a significant move to the prestigious Olimpija Ljubljana on a three-year contract. His exceptional performances earned him recognition and a call-up to the Slovenian national team.

Embracing International Success

Blažič exhibited his brilliance on the international stage, competing in the 2013 European Championship, 2014 World Championship, and 2015 European Championship. His crowning achievement came in 2017, where he helped Slovenia secure the gold medal at the European Championship.

International Club Experience

In June 2013, Blažič embarked on a three-year adventure with Serbian powerhouse Crvena Zvezda. After a brief stint, he parted ways with the club and signed a three-year deal with Spanish giants Baskonia in September 2015.

Returning to His Roots

Blažič eventually made a triumphant return to Slovenian basketball with Cedevita Olimpija. His experience and leadership have been instrumental in driving the team to new heights.
