Biography of Jakub Przygoński

Jakub Przygoński is a Polish racing driver and record-breaking drifter. He began participating in motorcycle races at the age of 13, starting with national-level championships. His first motorcycle was a Kawasaki KX80.

In 2004, Przygoński achieved victory at the International Six Days Enduro, the oldest and most famous off-road event organized by the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM). He made his debut in the Dakar Rally in 2009, racing for the KTM 450 team. In 2012, he joined the Red Bull team for the legendary competition.

Przygoński's most notable achievement came in 2013 when he set a record recognized by the Guinness World Records. He demonstrated his unique drifting skills that earned him a place in the record book. The Polish military airfield chosen by Przygoński for this record had never seen anything like it before. While planes took off at high speeds, local pilots had never been interested in drifting. Przygoński used a highly modified and enhanced version of the Toyota GT86 for his record-breaking drift. The car was familiar to him as he had previously competed in drift races as part of the ORLEN team.

Przygoński reached speeds of up to 256 kilometers per hour during his drift, with an average speed of 217.973 km/h. Although the maximum drift angle was just below 50 degrees, his performance was more than enough to secure a place in the Guinness World Records. He now holds the title of the fastest drifter in the world.

Aside from his record-breaking achievement, Przygoński has had other notable successes in his career. He considers his victory at the International Motorcycling Federation World Championship in 2008 as one of his greatest achievements. Interestingly, it was in 2008 that Przygoński first tried his hand at competitive drifting, participating in the Super Drift Series championship.
