Biography of James Chibuzor Obiora
James Chibuzor Obiora is a former Nigerian football player who was known for his attacking skills. He began his career with the club "Kwara Bombers" in 1994, where he made his professional debut. He then moved on to one of the strongest teams in Nigeria, "Enyimba", before eventually joining "Anderlecht".
During his time in the Belgian league, Obiora played 30 games and scored 6 goals for Anderlecht over a span of three seasons from 1995 to 1999. He later played for "Grasshoppers" from 1999 to 2001, "Cadiz" in Spain in the 2003/04 season, and "GAK Austria" in 2005, where he played 5 games in the top division.
Obiora had the opportunity to play for Moscow's "Lokomotiv" and "Nyore" twice throughout his career. He appeared in 16 games and scored 2 goals in the UEFA Champions League for Lokomotiv. In 2006, he had a trial with the Kharkiv-based club "Metalist", but he did not fit into the team's plans.
During his time in Russia, Obiora became one of the most prolific African players in the league. He represented the Nigerian national team in three matches, scoring one goal. Additionally, he served as the captain of the Nigerian youth team in the 1995 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
