Biography of Shkodran Mustafi
Early Life and CareerShkodran Mustafi was born on April 17, 1992, in Bad Hersfeld, Germany, to Albanian immigrant parents. His family previously lived in Gostivar, a city in present-day Macedonia. From a young age, Mustafi showed a passion for football and displayed promising skills. He joined the youth academy of 1. FC Bebra and later moved to SV Rotenburg. In 2006, Mustafi began playing for the youth teams of Hamburger SV, where he showcased his talent as a top-class defender.

Move to England and Return to Germany
After three years with Hamburger SV, Mustafi attracted the attention of English agents who were working for Everton. He spent three seasons training with the team, working with both the youth coaches and the first team. However, he only made one appearance for Everton in a match against BATE Borisov. In 2012, Mustafi joined Unione Calcio Sampdoria, commonly known as Sampdoria. He quickly established himself as a key player in the team's defense. In October 2013, he scored his first goal for Sampdoria in a Serie A match against Atalanta. In total, Mustafi made around 50 appearances for the club.

International Career
Mustafi began his international career in 2007, representing Germany in six different youth teams before being called up to the senior national team. He won the UEFA European Under-17 Championship with the under-17 team. Although he expressed a desire to play for the Albanian national team, the decision was ultimately made for him to represent Germany. In 2014, he made his senior debut for Germany in a friendly match against Chile. He was then included in the squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, where he had the opportunity to showcase his skills on the world stage. Mustafi impressed the coaching staff and played several matches during the tournament, including the final against Argentina, in which Germany emerged as the champions.
Current Status and Future
As of now, Mustafi is considered one of the most promising young players who will potentially rejuvenate the German national team as current players near the end of their careers. He continues to play for Sampdoria in Italy as a defensive midfielder. However, experts believe that his time in Italy is merely preparation for his eventual return to the German Bundesliga. Mustafi's strong performances and determination on the field have earned him praise from both club and national team coaches, with hopes that he will become a key pillar of the German defense in the future.
