Schroeder received his education at Choate Rosemary Hall in Connecticut and later enrolled at Stanford University. He graduated with honors, earning both a BSc and MSc in Bioengineering.
Athletic Career
Schroeder's sport of choice is rowing. He is currently a member of the United States national rowing team and is set to represent his country at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. He has been actively involved in rowing competitions since 2003 when he won his first international event at the World Championships in Seville. In 2004, Schroeder achieved another victory at the Athens Olympics.
After a brief hiatus from competitive rowing, Schroeder returned to the sport and participated in the World Championships at Dorney Lake. Prior to joining the Olympic team, he showcased his abilities at the World Cup in Lucerne, Switzerland.
