Biography of Jamie Lee Hampton
Early Life and CareerJamie Lee Hampton is an American tennis player. She was born in Frankfurt, West Germany, where her father was working at the time. Hampton and her family later moved to Enterprise, Alabama, where she lived until she was 13 years old. She then relocated to Auburn, Alabama.

Hampton started playing tennis at the age of 8 and showed great talent from a young age. Before graduating from Auburn High School in 2008, she won the USTA Girls' 18s doubles championship twice.

She turned professional in 2009 and made her debut in the US Open in 2010. While she was eliminated in the first round in singles, she reached the second round in doubles. In 2011, Hampton participated in two Grand Slam tournaments, the US Open and the Australian Open, but was unable to pass the first round in both singles and doubles.

Professional Career
In 2012, Hampton competed in all four Grand Slam tournaments. She reached the second round in the Australian Open and Wimbledon, but was eliminated in the first round in the French Open and the US Open. She achieved her personal best singles ranking of 84 on July 9, 2012. Later, on October 22, she climbed to the 70th position in the rankings. In doubles, her personal best ranking was 74 on May 21, 2012. Currently, Hampton is ranked 100th in doubles.

Hampton prefers playing on hard courts and considers Roger Federer her idol. Despite facing several health issues throughout her career, including wrist problems at the age of 15, Hampton underwent surgery and did not give up her passion for tennis. She currently trains at the Olde Town Athletic Club, owned by American tennis player Robby Ginepri, in Marietta, Georgia. Ginepri occasionally helps Hampton personally with her training.
