Biography of Jan Laco

Early Years

Jan Laco is a Slovak ice hockey player, currently playing as a goaltender for the club "Pirates" in the Czech Extraliga. He began his professional hockey career in his hometown of Liptovský Mikuláš in 2000, where he played until 2005. Afterward, he spent two years with HC Košice.

Return to Hometown

In 2007, Laco returned to his native club and played for them until 2008. During this time, he showcased his skills and became one of the top goaltenders in the Slovak Extraliga with his impressive performance in HC Zvolen from 2008 to 2010.

Challenges and Triumphs

In 2010, Laco received an invitation to join HC Lev from Poprad. Unfortunately, the team was unable to compete in the KHL championship, and Laco spent the season playing for HC Nitra instead. However, in 2011, he became the starting goaltender for HC Lev and had an outstanding season in the KHL 2011/2012.

International Success

Following his successful season with HC Lev, Laco signed a contract with Ukrainian team "Donbass" from Donetsk. He represented the team during the KHL 2012/2013 season and showcased his impressive skills on an international stage.

Current Endeavors

Currently, Jan Laco is a member of the "Pirates" club in the Czech Extraliga. He continues to demonstrate his talent and contribute to the success of his team as a goaltender. With his remarkable skills and determination, Laco has established himself as one of the prominent Slovakian ice hockey players in recent years.
