Background and Early Life

Jawad Achab, a Belgian taekwondo athlete of Moroccan descent, was born and raised in Morocco, where he began his taekwondo journey. In 2009, he relocated to Belgium and obtained Belgian citizenship in 2013.

Major Tournament Debut

Achab made his major tournament debut at the 2013 World Championships but was eliminated in the round of 16 by Taiwanese Wei Chen-yang.
