Early Life and Career

Born on November 5, 1981, in Manchester, England, Jarrard Benjamin began his acting career relatively late, in his early thirties. His first leading role came at age 39 in the horror film "Jeepers Creepers: Reborn," where he was unrecognizable in his prosthetic makeup.

Growing up, Benjamin excelled in sports, playing football and basketball, earning numerous trophies and representing the British youth team in 1996. In 2018, he worked as a sports manager for French footballer Paul Pogba during the World Cup.

Education and Acting Debut

Despite his passion for sports, Benjamin decided to pursue acting after assisting a friend with audition preparation. In 2007, he obtained a certificate in performing arts from his local college and enrolled in Salford University to study drama, graduating with honors in 2010.

During this time, Benjamin also made his acting debut in the short film "Smoke Dogg," where he served as lead actor, writer, producer, and director. He returned to the stage in university productions, gaining experience in plays like "Changeling" and "Journey's End."

While his acting career was minimal, Benjamin continued to pursue it alongside his sports endeavors, appearing in short films and commercials.

Breakthrough in Television and Film

Benjamin's on-screen presence increased after 2018, when he landed a recurring role in the long-running British soap opera "Coronation Street." He also had a minor role in 2022.

In 2019, he made guest appearances in the series "Bulletproof" and "Brassic." He has since continued his ascent in the film industry, transitioning sports into a hobby.

"Jeepers Creepers: Reborn" and Beyond

In 2020, Benjamin landed his first leading role in the upcoming horror film "Jeepers Creepers: Reborn." His involvement was kept secret while filming took place in the United States and the United Kingdom, wrapping up in early 2021.

The film faced legal challenges, delaying its release until the fall of 2022. Benjamin portrayed the iconic Creeper, a humanoid creature that hunts humans every 23 years to prolong its life.

The fourth installment in the "Jeepers Creepers" franchise, "Reborn" marked the beginning of a new trilogy. It also introduced the character of the Creeper, previously portrayed by American actor Jonathan Breck, to a new generation of horror fans. Finnish director Timo Vuorensola made his Hollywood debut at the helm of the film.
