Biography of Jasmin Glaesser
Jasmin Glaesser is a Canadian track cyclist of German origin. She is a bronze medalist in the team pursuit at the 2012 Summer Olympics, a multiple medalist at the World Championships, a three-time champion at the Pan American Games, and a multiple-time champion of Canada.

In 2000, Jasmin and her family moved to Seattle, and a year later they relocated to Vancouver, where her father was offered a job at Simon Fraser University. In 2009, Glaesser became actively involved in track cycling. She obtained Canadian citizenship in September 2011.

Her first major competition was the Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico, where Glaesser, along with Laura Brown and Stephanie Roorda, won the gold medal in the team pursuit. At the 2012 World Championships in Melbourne, Glaesser earned two championship medals, finishing second in the points race and third in the team pursuit.

In the summer of 2012, Glaesser made her debut at the London Olympics in the team pursuit. She partnered with Tara Whitten and Gillian Carleton. The Canadian team won the bronze medal, defeating the Australian cyclists and securing Canada's only medal in cycling at the Games.
From 2013 to 2015, Glaesser continued to excel in the team pursuit at the World Championships, winning three more medals. She also earned a bronze medal in the points race at the 2014 Championships. The 2015 Pan American Games were particularly successful for Glaesser, as she won two gold and two silver medals in both track and road cycling events.
Additionally, Glaesser occasionally participates in significant road cycling races as part of the UCI World Tour. In 2013, she competed in the Giro d'Italia.
Personal Life
Jasmin Glaesser's parents are Uwe and Andrea Glaesser. She has two brothers named Marcel and Timon. She is currently studying computer science at Simon Fraser University.
