Early Life and Gymnastics
Born on February 22, 1956, in Freiburg, Germany, Jasmin Vetter has always had a passion for sports. From an early age, she excelled in gymnastics and even competed internationally. During her time in Australia, she received a precious gift: a beautiful opal. However, she later lost it during the Arabesque tour.
Arabesque Years
In 1978, Vetter joined the iconic pop group Arabesque. Her charming voice and energetic performances quickly made her a fan favorite. She remained with the group until its dissolution in 1984.
Rouge and Eurovision
Post-Arabesque, Vetter formed the duo Rouge from 1985 to 1988. In 1987, they participated in the German Eurovision Song Contest with their single "Einer Von Uns."
Marriage and Life in Egypt
During a tour in Egypt, Vetter met her future husband. After Rouge disbanded, she married him and settled in Egypt. The couple welcomed two children: Amira and Tarek. Both Amira and Tarek have pursued music careers and live between Egypt and Germany.
Return to Germany and New Career
After 12 years in Egypt and a subsequent divorce, Vetter returned to Germany in the early 2000s. She embarked on a new path in business, establishing a company that rents wedding supplies.
Back on Stage
In 2017, Vetter returned to the spotlight with the announcement of her comeback. She formed a new group, "Jasmin Vetter of Arabesque and the CityCats," and has been performing to the delight of her fans ever since.
