African-American Family Accuses Disneyland of Racism

The Black family recently came forward to accuse Disneyland, the popular amusement park in Anaheim, California, of racism. Specifically, the Black family alleges that the White Rabbit, a character at the park, refused to hug their children because of the color of their skin. According to Jason and Annelia Black, the White Rabbit deliberately avoided touching their children, while freely showering white children with hugs and attention. The Blacks stated that their children felt terrible due to this discriminatory treatment.

Children Denied Affection by White Rabbit

Six-year-old Jason Jr. confirmed that when he tried to hug his favorite character, the rabbit backed away, preventing him from doing so. The same thing happened to their older son, Elijah, when the White Rabbit refused to even shake his hand. Upset by the incident, the family immediately lodged a complaint with the park administration.

Unsatisfactory Compensation Offered

In response, Disneyland offered the Black family a compensation of $500 and VIP passes, along with a request to sign a confidentiality agreement. However, the family found this offer unsatisfactory and intends to pursue the matter until they receive what they deem to be a just resolution. Their demands also include the termination of the actor portraying the White Rabbit and a formal apology from the park.

Future Outcome Uncertain

The validity of the Black family's accusations will be determined in the future. However, it is not uncommon for modern African-Americans to raise allegations of racism.
