Early Karting Success (1990-1995)
At the tender age of six, Tahinci's passion for racing ignited with mini-kart competitions. His debut in karting came in 1990, and from 1991 onwards, he reigned as champion four consecutive times. In 1995, he transitioned to the Promo kart series, where he finished second, trailing his sister Rayna Tahinci.
International Ambitions (1996-2000)
The following year, Tahinci embarked on a new adventure by relocating to the Netherlands for the national championship, where he clinched an impressive 5th place among 24 drivers. Returning to Turkey, he defended his Promo kart title in 1997 and 1998. Simultaneously, he honed his skills in European youth championships. He then moved up to the Super kart category and triumpled as champion in 1999 and 2000, amassing eight Turkish karting championship titles.
Formula Racing Debut (1998-2006)
On his 1998 birthday, Tahinci received a memorable gift from his father, Mümtaz Tahinci, the President of the Turkish Automotive Sports Federation (TOSFED). He embarked on a test drive in a Formula-3 car. In 2000, he made his debut in Turkish Formula-3, finishing the season in second place. After a hiatus in 2001 to complete high school, he returned to racing in 2003 in the British Formula Renault, achieving a best result of 20th in 2005.
In 2006, Tahinci joined forces with Italian driver Luca Filippi in the GP2 team FMS International, founded by Formula-1 driver Giancarlo Fisichella and sponsored by the Turkish fuel company Petrol Ofisi. Despite not scoring any points, Tahinci remained with the team in 2007.
Global Racing Experience (2006-2008)
