Biography of Spanish Racecar Driver
Early CareerSpanish racecar driver Alfonso de Orleans-Borbón lives in Arriondas, Asturias. He began his career in the Spanish Formula 3 championship, finishing fourth overall in 2005 with the Racing Engineering team.
GP2 Series
In 2006, de Orleans-Borbón moved to the GP2 Series with Racing Engineering. He remained with the team for three seasons, earning his first GP2 victory in the 2007 Magny-Cours sprint race. He later won the Nürburgring and Hungaroring sprint races.
2008 Season
De Orleans-Borbón's 2008 season was less successful, as he finished 17th overall while his teammate, Giorgio Pantano, won the championship. He competed for Super Nova Racing in the 2008-09 GP2 Asia Series and the 2009 GP2 Series.
Racecar Euro Series
In 2013, de Orleans-Borbón shifted his focus to the Racecar Euro Series, the European equivalent of NASCAR. He competed in the inaugural race at Nogaro, France on April 1st.
