Jeffrey Dean Morgan is an American film and television actor who gained great popularity on television. The eighth season of the show recently concluded, but the creators have extended the show for a ninth season, in which the cunning Negan will undoubtedly return.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan was born on April 22, 1966, in Seattle, Washington, USA, to Richard Dean Morgan and Sandy Thomas. He received his secondary education at Benjamin Franklin Elementary School, Rose Hill Middle School, and Lake Washington High School. During his time at Lake Washington, Morgan played football and served as captain of the basketball team. After graduating, he attended Skagit Valley College, where he continued to play basketball. Despite having the potential to become a professional player, a knee injury forced him to give up sports.

After his basketball career ended, Morgan decided to explore his interests in painting and writing. He achieved some success in these endeavors and even founded his own graphic arts company in his hometown of Seattle. However, acting became the focus of his life. After moving to Los Angeles, Morgan was fortunate enough to break into the film industry. His feature film debut came in 1991 in the movie "Uncaged," where he played one of the lead roles.

From 1991 to 2005, Morgan appeared in numerous films and television projects, some of which were successful while others were less notable. The most successful works during this period include "Dillinger and Capone" (1995), "Undercover" (1995), "JAG" (1995, 2002), "Sliders" (1996), "In a Moment of Passion" (1996), "The Burning Zone" (1996-1997), "Uncaged Heart" (1999), and "Grey's Anatomy" (2006-2009).

In 2005, Morgan experienced a breakthrough in his career with the supernatural series "Supernatural," which follows the Winchester brothers as they travel across the United States in their father's Chevrolet Impala 1967, fighting various supernatural creatures. Morgan portrayed their father, John Winchester, a seasoned hunter who taught his sons the dangerous trade. John Winchester appeared in 11 episodes of the show from 2005 to 2007. "Supernatural" brought Morgan widespread recognition and ensured his continued success in the industry.
From 2006 to the present, Morgan has appeared in several notable television series and films, including "Grey's Anatomy" (2006-2009), "Watchmen" (2009), "The Losers" (2010), "The Walking Dead" (2016-...), and "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" (2016). His latest project is the action film "Rampage" (2018), in which he stars alongside Dwayne Johnson.
Morgan has been married three times. His first marriage was to actress Anya Longwell from 1992 to 2003. From 2007 to 2008, he dated his co-star Mary-Louise Parker from the series "Weeds." In 2009, Morgan began a relationship with actress Hilarie Burton, known for her role in the series "One Tree Hill." They are now married and have two children together.
Although not the most popular or highly acclaimed actor in Hollywood, Morgan has made a name for himself with his memorable performances. He often takes on smaller but significant roles in high-profile projects such as "Watchmen" and "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice." His portrayal of Negan on "The Walking Dead" earned him numerous awards and nominations, including a Saturn Award for Best Guest Starring Role in a Television Series in 2017.
