Biography of Jens Kidman

Jens Kidman is a vocalist and former guitarist of the Swedish metal band Meshuggah. Together with lead guitarist Frederik Thordendal, Kidman co-founded Meshuggah and initially served as both the vocalist and guitarist. However, he later shifted his focus solely to vocals, although he was involved in the recording of electric guitars, bass guitars, and drum machine programming on the studio album "Catch Thirtythree" in 2005. His singing style is mainly characterized by harsh guttural screams.

Throughout his career, Kidman has contributed to the songwriting and lyrics of Meshuggah, including tracks such as "Terminal Illusions" and "Suffer in Truth" from the album "Destroy Erase Improve." He also participated in the recording of the song "The Dream Is Over" on the American alternative metal band Mushroomhead's album "XIII."

Despite his primarily aggressive vocal style, Kidman showcased his versatility by delivering clean vocals on the track "Ritual" from the EP "None." His contributions to Meshuggah have solidified their position as one of the most influential and innovative metal bands in the industry.

Outside of his work with Meshuggah, Kidman's musical talents have been recognized and appreciated by fans and fellow musicians alike.
