Jeremy Jones: A Biography
Jeremy Jones is an American athlete and professional snowboarder who revolutionized the sport by taking it beyond the confines of well-known resorts and traditional tricks on ramps. He has ventured to the highest mountains on the planet, where no human has ever set foot before. Today, it is hard to find someone who can be amazed by crazy snowboarding tricks, as competitions are often won based on skill and technique rather than a repertoire of tricks and maneuvers. Tired of this, Jeremy and his friends decided to realize their crazy idea: to climb the highest peaks and then descend on a snowboard from several thousand meters high, proving to the world that there are no limits to human capabilities on the path to distant goals.

Early Life and Career
Jeremy Jones was born on January 14, 1975, in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, into an ordinary American family. From an early age, he moved frequently with his parents. He lived in Massachusetts during his first years, but attended school in Vermont and then moved to Maine. Jeremy first tried snowboarding as a child when he visited a ski resort with his parents. At that moment, he realized that he was ready to spend his entire life snowboarding. Luckily, his parents supported his passion, and as a teenager, he successfully participated in competitions and races. His achievements caught the attention of professional team scouts, and in 1989, at the age of 15, Jeremy signed his first sports contract with the well-known French company 'Rossignol'. Just two years later, in 1991, he became a professional snowboarder and gained the opportunity to compete in larger events on major slopes.

Pushing the Boundaries
Gradually, Jeremy grew tired of the repetitive races and preferred to ride on real mountains, challenging not opponents but nature itself. His aggressive riding style and innate talent worked in his favor, allowing him to make quick and decisive decisions in the most dangerous moments. Professional athletes began to gather around Jeremy, learning from his riding style and, more importantly, his desire to move forward and not be limited to races and competitions.

Exploring the Uncharted
Organizing mountain expeditions turned out to be a challenging task. No helicopter could ascend beyond a certain height due to harsh climate conditions and low temperatures. Therefore, all the necessary equipment, snowboards, and clothing had to be carried to the summit manually. However, as Jeremy admitted, this added a new dimension to their journey and did not discourage him or other athletes. They paid special attention to the selection of mountains, ultimately choosing the Japanese Alps, the remote mountain chain in Austria, the Norwegian archipelago Svalbard, located just 600 kilometers from the North Pole, and the mountains in Wrangell-St. Elias National Park in Alaska. An operator joined the team, capturing each ascent and descent on film.
Documentaries and Recognition
In December 2010, the first documentary film 'Deeper' was released, shocking the snowboarding community. It depicted the daring journey across snowy ridges, dodging avalanches and unexpected cliffs. Two years later, in September 2012, the second part of the planned trilogy, 'Further,' was released. In the same year, Jeremy was nominated for the 'Adventurer of the Year' award by National Geographic Magazine. However, Felix Baumgartner won the award based on the results of public voting for his stratospheric parachute jump. Currently, Jeremy Jones is working on the production of the third film and is actively involved in his nonprofit organization, 'Protect Our Winters,' which focuses on reducing emissions and slowing down climate change.
