Biography of Jerrold Nadler

Jerrold Nadler, whose full name is Jerrold Lewis Nadler, was born in 1947 in Brooklyn, New York City. He completed his education at Stuyvesant High School in 1965, where one of his future party partners was his teacher. After high school, Nadler studied law at Columbia University and Fordham University School of Law. While still a student in 1968, Nadler participated in the pre-election campaign of Minnesota Congressman Eugene McCarthy. In 1976, Jerrold Nadler was elected to the New York State Assembly.

In 1995, Nadler found himself in an awkward situation that was widely covered by the media. He attempted to obtain the bank and account number from which a large sum of money was transferred to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. The case eventually went to court, but the constitutional court only gave Nadler an oral reprimand.

During the elections for the 8th district of New York in 1992, Ted Weiss was the undisputed leader, but he passed away a few days before the election. The Democratic Party of the USA nominated Jerrold Nadler as a worthy replacement. Nadler easily won the majority of votes and secured the representative seat for the district.

It is known that Jerrold Nadler has made public statements regarding former President George W. Bush. In December 2008, Nadler publicly stated that he would like to become a senator from the state if Hillary Clinton was elected as the new president of the USA. Moreover, Nadler has been an advocate for the withdrawal of American troops from Iraq and has spoken out against wars.

Jerrold Nadler currently resides in Manhattan with his wife, Joyce Miller, and their son.
