Biography of Jessica Dubé

Jessica Dubé is a Canadian figure skater who competes in pairs skating with Bryce Davison. They are three-time Canadian champions, winning the titles in 2007, 2009, and 2010. They also won bronze at the 2008 World Championships. Jessica has also achieved success internationally as a singles skater. For example, in 2003, she won the bronze medal at a Junior Grand Prix event in Mexico, and in 2004, she placed third at a Junior Grand Prix event in China. Jessica began skating at the age of four and currently competes in both pairs and singles with her partner Bryce Davison.

In the Junior World Championships in 2003 and 2004, Jessica Dubé and Bryce Davison won silver medals. In December 2004, Jessica underwent knee surgery, forcing the pair to withdraw from the Junior Grand Prix Final. In the 2006 Olympic Games, the pair finished 10th. They then missed several Grand Prix events in the 2006-2007 season due to Dubé's injury.

On February 8, 2007, during their free skate at the Four Continents Championships, an accident occurred. While performing a parallel spin, the partners got too close and lost synchronicity, resulting in Bryce accidentally cutting Jessica's face with his skate blade. Jessica was immediately taken to the hospital and required 80 stitches. Fortunately, she avoided any eye injuries or facial fractures. Both skaters needed the assistance of psychologists to help them return to the ice.

In 2008, the pair won their first medal at the World Championships, earning a bronze. In the 2008-2009 season, Dubé and Davison participated in the Grand Prix series. They finished second at Skate Canada and unexpectedly placed third in Japan, missing out on qualifying for the Grand Prix Final. They won the Canadian Championships in 2009.
