James Christopher "Jim" Gaffigan, an American actor and stand-up comedian, was born in 1966 in Chesterton, Indiana. He grew up in a large and close-knit orthodox Catholic family, where he was one of six children. His childhood and upbringing in a big family later became one of his favorite comedic topics.
