Early Life and Education
Born in Poland, Andrzej Chorosinski began his musical journey at the prestigious Kraków Academy of Music, graduating in 1961. His illustrious mentors included Bronisław Rutkowski (organ) and Artur Malawski (harmony and counterpoint).
Competition Successes
Chorosinski's talent was evident early on. In 1961, he emerged victorious from the All-Polish Competition of Ancient Music. The following year, he achieved international acclaim by winning the International Performers' Competition in Geneva.
Broadcasting and Teaching Career
After his initial successes, Chorosinski worked at the music department of Kraków Radio from 1961 to 1964. He then joined the faculty of the Kraków Academy of Music. Since 1970, he has headed the organ class at the Warsaw Academy of Music. In 2007, he was honored with the title of Doctor Honoris Causa by the same institution.
International Career and Recordings
Chorosinski has performed extensively throughout the world, captivating audiences with his exceptional organ playing. He has recorded over 25 albums, preserving his musical legacy for generations to come.
