Gensler's artistic journey began in his hometown, where he studied under Gerd Hardorf. From 1824 to 1826, he pursued his studies in Oitin with Wilhelm Tischbein. Subsequently, he honed his skills in the prestigious art centers of Dresden, Munich, and Vienna.
