Biography of John Nolle
Born in 1970 in northern France, John Nolle discovered his passion for hairstyling at a young age. He honed his skills in Perpignan and later continued to perfect his craft in Montpellier, where he achieved significant success. It was in Montpellier that Nolle first caught the attention of renowned French choreographer Dominique Bagouet. He created incredible hairstyles for dance groups involved in projects such as "So Schnell" and "Necessito."
Nolle's success continued in Montpellier, and he soon landed a position as a special hairstylist, joining the team of creators for the film "The Return of Casanova." He went on to work on many blockbusters and classic films, including "Astérix & Obélix: Mission Cléopâtre" and "Le concile de pierre," where he was responsible for styling Monica Bellucci's hair. He also worked with Vanessa Paradis in "La fille sur le pont" and "Mon Ange," Audrey Tautou in "Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain" and "Un long dimanche de fiançailles," and Fanny Ardant in "Ridicule."
Nolle's talent and honest approach to hairstyling attracted many celebrities who not only became his clients but also formed friendships with him. Isabelle Adjani, Juliette Binoche, Maggie Cheung, and Mylène Farmer were among the famous individuals who sought his services. He also collaborated with Elizabeth Hurley, Sandrine Kiberlain, Diane Kruger, Uma Thurman, Vincent Cassel, Gérard Depardieu, Johnny Depp, and Mathieu Kassovitz.
Having achieved international recognition, Nolle became involved in prestigious events such as the Cannes Film Festival and the "Oscar" and "Golden Globe" ceremonies. He was part of teams of professionals who created advertisements for renowned brands such as Cartier, Chanel, Chopard, Dior, Givenchy, and Tag Heuer. Nolle also collaborated with renowned photographers, including Ruven Afanador, Kate Barry, Dominique Issermann, Karl Lagerfeld, and Peter Lindbergh.
Nolle draws inspiration and passion from various sources, ranging from classic films to contemporary art and dance. In his search for innovation, he is always willing to travel to the ends of the earth. Nolle constantly seeks new ideas and techniques to continue creating his masterpieces, aspiring to be considered "uncreated."
One of Nolle's remarkable works is his project titled "La coupe a l'elastik," which showcases the complexity of hairstyling as an art form comparable to architecture and geometry. In 2002, he opened his first salon in the fashionable Le Marais district of Paris, where he provides VIP services to his clients. His dedicated team of highly skilled professionals takes pride in providing personalized services tailored to each client's individuality and lifestyle.
In 2005, Nolle became the hairstyling designer for the professional products division of L'Oréal. By the end of 2006, he had opened two additional salons, one in the luxurious Hotel Costes in Paris and another in the newly opened Cheval Blanc hotel in Courchevel.
Collaborating with Louis Vuitton, the Park Hyatt hotel chain, and L'Oréal Professionnel, Nolle embarked on an extraordinary worldwide journey in 2009. His portable beauty salon, a magical trunk specially designed by Park Hyatt, contained all the necessary tools for his work. Nolle stayed in the most exceptional locations around the world, catering to the most discerning clients. In 2011, he settled with his portable salon at the 5-star Park Hyatt Park Vendôme hotel, offering exclusive hair care services.
Nolle dreams of establishing his own school for hairstylists, where his ideas can be fully realized, talents can be nurtured, and innovations can be implemented. Currently, he is ready to mentor a new generation of hairstylists aspiring to be "Nolle-style" masters.
