Jonah Goldberg, an influential figure in the field of journalism, is the editor of the general section of National Review Online and the creator and author of the popular book "Liberal Fascism: The Secret History of the American Left, From Mussolini to the Politics of Meaning." He is also a contributing writer for USA Today.
Early Life and Education
Jonah Goldberg was born on March 21, 1969. He graduated from Goucher College in 1991, where he actively participated in student politics and served as the editor of the student newspaper, The Quindecim. Goldberg gained valuable experience working for Scripps Howard News Service, United Press International, and other media outlets and publishing companies, including Delilah Communications.
Career
After college, Goldberg taught English in Prague before finding a job at the American Enterprise Institute in Washington, D.C. During this period, he also worked on several documentary films and served on the Board of Trustees of Goucher College for three years. In 1994, Goldberg began to focus more on television work. He was invited by New River Media to work on various projects, including scriptwriting and editing. In 1998, he became the editor of National Review and the head of the National Review Online project. He continues to hold these positions today.
Current Influence
Goldberg reached the height of his popularity with the publication of his famous book "Liberal Fascism" in January 2008. The book caused a sensation among the intellectually curious and reading audience. His political views and opinions on censorship, freedom of speech, federalism, constitutional interpretation, ethics, and morality are a subject of debate. Goldberg remains an advocate for the war in Iraq and American military intervention in other countries.
