Early Career

Jorge Bermúdez Morales, a Colombian footballer, began his career as a defender for hometown club Deportes Quindío. He later joined América de Cali, one of Colombia's most prestigious teams, where he played for six seasons, amassing over 134 appearances.

International Stardom

Bermúdez's breakthrough came in 1996/97 with Benfica. He subsequently joined Boca Juniors, where he achieved remarkable success. As a key leader and captain, he helped the team secure six major titles: three national championships, two Copa Libertadores triumphs, and one Intercontinental Cup.

European Return

In 2001, Bermúdez transferred to Olympiacos. During his two seasons with the Greek club, he played in only nine league matches and won two league titles.

Later Career

Bermúdez returned to Latin America, playing for seven teams over a four-year period. In 2007, he completed his professional career after nine matches with Deportes Quindío.

Coaching Career

Following his retirement as a player, Bermúdez pursued a coaching career. He led Deportivo and Deportivo Pasto, two Colombian clubs from the second and first divisions, respectively.

International Recognition

Bermúdez represented Colombia in 56 matches, scoring three goals. He participated in the 1998 FIFA World Cup, three Copa América tournaments (1995, 1997, 1999), and the 1992 Olympics.
