Early Years and Rise to FameKleberson began his football journey at Paraná Soccer Technical Center, a feeder club for Atlético Paranaense. He joined Atlético's youth team in 1998 and quickly progressed to the senior squad. Over the next five years, Kleberson became a club legend, helping them win two state championships and the 2001 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, the club's first league title.
World Cup Triumph and Departure to Europe
Kleberson's exceptional performances earned him a call-up to the Brazil national team for the 2002 FIFA World Cup. Brazil emerged victorious, crowning Kleberson a world champion. In 2003, Manchester United signed Kleberson for a fee of £6.5 million.
Stints in England, Turkey, and Return to Brazil
Despite suffering an injury in his second game for United, Kleberson made 30 appearances and scored two goals. In 2005, he moved to Beşiktaş, where he spent two years. In 2007, Kleberson joined Flamengo, where he played a pivotal role in the team's midfield.
National Team Return and Club Success
In 2009, Kleberson was recalled to the Brazil national team after a four-year absence. He played in the Confederations Cup that year and subsequently won the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A title with Flamengo.
