Early Career at Leyton Orient
English striker Paul Abrahams began his professional career with Leyton Orient in November 2016. He was then sent on loan to Cambridge City and made his Football League debut for Newport County in March 2017. Abrahams' first goal for Orient came in April 2017, and he scored the winning goal against Hartlepool United a few days later.
Loan Spell at Norwich City
In July 2017, Abrahams signed for Norwich City but was loaned back to Leyton Orient for the 2017/18 season. However, this loan was terminated abruptly in September 2017.
Further Loan Spells
Abrahams joined Exeter City on loan in July 2018 and played for the Second League team until the end of the 2018/19 season. In January 2019, he was recalled from Exeter and sent to Yeovil Town to replace an injured Norwich teammate.
New Chapter at Newport County
In July 2019, Abrahams signed a two-year contract with Newport County in the Second League. He made his debut against Mansfield Town and scored his first goal for Newport in the EFL Cup against Gillingham. In November 2019, he achieved a hat-trick in the League Cup against Cheltenham Town. Abrahams was named Newport County's Young Player of the Season in 2019/20.
Return to Leyton Orient
In February 2021, Abrahams returned to Leyton Orient on loan for the remainder of the 2020/21 season.
