Victor Agali, a renowned Nigerian striker, currently plies his trade for Belgian club KV Oostende. His journey to the pinnacle of football began at the esteemed Pepsi Football Academy in Lagos.
Early Career and Domestic Success
In 2003, Agali signed his first professional contract with second-tier club Bendel United. His exceptional performances caught the attention of Benin Insurance F.C., who signed him in February 2005. In his debut season with Benin Insurance, he emerged as the league's top scorer in the Nigerian Premier League.
International Recognition and European Debut
Agali's impressive domestic performances earned him a call-up to the Nigerian national team in August 2005. He made his international debut against Portugal on December 30, 2005. Shortly after, he joined Belgian club Sporting Charleroi in January 2006.
Belgian League Dominance
During the 2007/08 season, Agali established himself as one of the most prolific scorers in the Belgian league. With 18 goals, he claimed the title of top scorer.
Transfers and Loan Spells
In July 2008, Agali made the move to Club Brugge. After a four-year stint there, he signed for Werder Bremen in August 2012. However, he struggled to break into the starting lineup.
In September 2013, Agali was loaned to Turkish club Karabükspor for a season. His impressive performance during the loan period convinced Karabükspor to acquire him permanently in August 2014.
