Biography of Josh Freese
Josh Freese is an American musician, drummer, and singer-songwriter. He is a permanent member of the bands 'A Perfect Circle', 'The Vandals', and 'Devo'. From 2005 to 2008, he was part of the group 'Nine Inch Nails', and from the mid-1998 to 2001, he played with 'Guns N' Roses'. Currently, he actively participates in concerts with the bands 'Devo' and 'Weezer'. In December 2010, Josh joined 'Paramore' on a concert tour in South America, replacing their drummer Zac Farro who had recently left the band.

Josh was born in Orlando, Florida. His father worked at Disney World, Florida, and Disneyland, California, while his mother played the piano. He started playing drums at the age of 8 and began performing professionally in popular Disneyland bands at the age of 12. As a teenager, Josh played electronic drums in a children's rock band called 'Polo', which eventually led to him signing a contract with Simmons. At the age of 15, he left school and started touring and recording. He initially collaborated with Dweezil Zappa and later joined 'The Vandals'. Over the past 15 years, Josh has worked with numerous renowned musicians and bands, both as a session musician and as a temporary replacement.

Josh's younger brother, Jason Freese, is a keyboardist who has played with 'Green Day' and toured with 'Goo Goo Dolls', Dr. Dre, 'Jewel', Lenny Kravitz, Liz Phair, 'Foxboro Hot Tubs', Joe Walsh, and 'Weezer'. Currently, Josh resides in Southern California with his wife and four children.

In 1998, he recorded a series of self-written songs, which were released as the EP 'Destroy Earth As Soon As Possible' under the label 'T.O.N/Stone Lizard Records'. In 2000, the songs 'Caffeine and Vaseline' and 'Rock N' Roll Chicken' were re-recorded for 'The Notorious One Man Orgy', this time released under Josh's name and the 'Kung Fu Records' label. His second solo album, 'Since 1972', was released on March 24, 2009. The album was available in digital format for $7 and on CD and DVD for $15. In addition to the regular versions, unique and advanced versions of the album were offered on the website at unbelievably high prices around $75,000.

From 1997 to 2000, Josh was a member of 'Guns N' Roses', where he served as a replacement for Matt Sorum under a two-year contract. He left the band to create 'A Perfect Circle' alongside Maynard James Keenan and Billy Howerdel. With 'A Perfect Circle', Josh has been involved since the band's first album and is considered one of its most important members. In 2004, the band went on hiatus, and Billy Howerdel soon started a new project, once again enlisting Josh as the drummer. 'A Perfect Circle' resumed their activities in 2010.
In 2003, Josh participated in the recording of 'Splinter', the new album by 'The Offspring', although he did not become the band's permanent drummer. In January 2011, he hinted at working on a new album with 'The Offspring'. In 2010, he was involved in projects with 'Social Distortion', Joe Cocker, 'Devo', 'Megadeth', Katy Perry, 'The Vandals', Cher, Gavin Rossdale, and Avril Lavigne.
