Josh Radnor Biography
Josh Radnor is an American actor and director best known for his role as Ted Mosby, the main character in the CBS sitcom "How I Met Your Mother". He was born on July 29, 1974, in Columbus, Ohio, USA. His father, Alan Radnor, is a lawyer. Radnor grew up in the suburb of Bexley, where he attended a Jewish day school and spent summers at camp.
Radnor graduated from Bexley High School and went on to attend Kenyon College, where he was awarded the Paul Newman Prize, named after the famous alum of the college. He later earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in acting from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University.
Acting Career
In 2001, Radnor joined the cast of the TV series "Off Centre" but ended up not playing the lead role. In 2002, he made his Broadway debut in the stage version of "The Graduate", replacing Jason Biggs. He had the opportunity to share the stage with Kathleen Turner and Alicia Silverstone. Since 2005, Radnor has portrayed Ted Mosby in "How I Met Your Mother", which remains his most significant role to date.
Radnor has also appeared in other popular TV series, including "Law & Order" and "ER". He played Robert Kitson in "Law & Order" and Keith in "ER". He has also been involved in comedy television movies, such as "Everyday Life", where he played the role of a husband.
Directing Career
In 2010, Radnor made his directorial debut with the film "Happythankyoumoreplease". He not only directed the film but also wrote the screenplay and portrayed the character of Sam. He has continued to direct and has worked on projects such as the film "Liberal Arts" and the TV series "Rise".
Personal Life
Radnor currently resides in Los Angeles. In August 2008, he began dating actress Lindsay Price, who starred in the cancelled TV series "Lipstick Jungle" and the 2009 series "Eastwick". However, their relationship ended after fourteen months of being together.
