Lauren Holly is an actress who has appeared in numerous television films, establishing herself as a serious actress. Lauren Michael Holly was born in Bristol, Pennsylvania and grew up in Geneva, New York. She graduated from Sarah Lawrence College. Her acting career began in 1986 on the daytime soap opera "All My Children," for which she received an Emmy award.

Breakthrough Role

Lauren Holly's breakthrough role came when she portrayed the wife of martial arts legend Bruce Lee in the film "Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story" (1993). Another significant milestone in her life was her role in the comedy hit of 1994, "Dumb and Dumber," where she met her future husband, Jim Carrey. Although their marriage only lasted 10 months, Lauren's career experienced a rapid ascent. One of the notable films that followed "Dumb and Dumber" was "Turbulence" (1997), in which she starred alongside Ray Liotta.
