Early Life and Career
Juan Bernat was born on March 1, 1993, in Cullera, Spain. He joined the youth academy of Valencia as a child and rose through the ranks, making his debut for the B team in 2010.
Valencia Breakthrough
In the 2011-12 season, Bernat was promoted to the first team of Valencia and quickly established himself as a regular on the left flank. He made his official debut on August 27, 2011, in the La Liga match against Racing Santander. On January 26, 2012, he played his first full match for Valencia in the Copa del Rey against Levante and recorded an assist in a 3-0 victory.
Move to Bayern Munich
In 2014, Bernat signed for Bayern Munich as a backup option for left-back David Alaba. However, he unexpectedly became a regular starter in the 2014-15 season, starting in the Bundesliga match against Wolfsburg. Since then, he has remained a key player in the Bayern defense.
Goalscoring Debut
Bernat scored his first official goal for Bayern Munich in the second half of the 2014-15 Bundesliga season against Wolfsburg on January 30, 2015. Despite Bayern's 4-1 defeat, Bernat's goal marked a significant milestone in his career.
