Judge Jules, whose real name is Julius O'Riordan, was born on October 26, 1966, in London, United Kingdom. He attended Highgate Wood Secondary School and then the London School of Economics, where he earned a degree in law. During his college years, O'Riordan started organizing parties and became a DJ, earning him the nickname Judge Jules due to his connection to the legal field.

DJ Career

Judge Jules became a professional DJ in 1987 and soon joined the pirate radio station Kiss FM. In October 1997, he began hosting his own show, "The Weekend Warm-Up," on BBC Radio 1. The show aired from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and featured a mix of commercial and underground tracks. Judge Jules gained popularity not only in the UK but also in the United States and Canada as the show was broadcasted online.

Other Musical Endeavors

In addition to his radio show, Judge Jules is known for his saxophone playing. He recorded the saxophone theme for the TV show "This Morning" in the 1990s and played saxophone for the radio advertisement of "Skiddle." He also produces his own music, often collaborating with his wife, who provides vocals for their group "Angelic." "Angelic" released two hit tracks, "It's My Turn" in 2000 and "Can't Keep Me Silent" in 2001. Judge Jules is a devoted fan of the professional football club Arsenal. In 2005, he was asked by the club to remix the official anthem of the English Premier League. In 2012, he signed a contract with Paul Van Dyk's label, VANDIT, leading to the releases of "The Attack" and "Give Me A Reason." Judge Jules has spent most of his life in North London and currently lives with his wife Amanda, son Jake, and daughter Phoebe. They also own a villa in Ibiza, where they spend their summers.
