Early Life and Skating Career
Juliana Cannarozzo was born on August 27, 1989 in Boston, Massachusetts. Growing up in Reading, she was introduced to skating at the age of five, inspired by her older sister Lauren's involvement in the sport. She also has a younger brother named Carmine who enjoys soccer.
Debut and Junior Success
Cannarozzo made her debut in the ISU Junior Grand Prix series in the 2005-2006 season, winning two bronze medals. She placed fifth at the 2006 U.S. Junior Figure Skating Championships.
In the 2006-2007 season, Cannarozzo won two gold medals on the ISU Junior Grand Prix circuit, qualifying for the Junior Grand Prix Final where she finished seventh. She also made her senior debut at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships, placing seventh.
Injury and Transition
The 2007-2008 season was marred by injuries for Cannarozzo. She finished fourth and twelfth in the Junior Grand Prix events and seventh at the Eastern Sectional Championships, failing to qualify for the U.S. Championships.
After the season, Cannarozzo decided to retire from competitive figure skating and pursue a career in acting.
Acting Career and Philanthropy
Cannarozzo's acting credits include the role of Zoe Bloch in the Disney film "Ice Princess" and several Japanese commercials. She is also an active philanthropist, supporting organizations such as the Jimmy Fund, Make a Wish Foundation, The Brain Tumor Foundation, and Relay for Life.
