Rise to Prominence

During their first season together, Alexa and Chris finished as the U.S. national silver medalists, earning them a spot on the U.S. team for the World Championships and Four Continents Championships. In the following post-Olympic season, they emerged as leaders of the American team, placing fifth at the Four Continents Championships and securing a top-10 finish at the World Championships.

Breakthrough Season and World Team Gold

In the 2014-2015 season, Alexa and Chris had a remarkable breakthrough. They captured their first U.S. national championship title and helped the American team win the gold medal at the World Team Trophy. They also improved their personal bests in both the short program and free skate.

Continued Success

In the 2015-2016 season, Alexa and Chris earned a silver medal at the Nebelhorn Trophy and a second-place finish at Skate America. They later won the Icechallenge tournament in Austria and qualified for the Grand Prix Final, making them the first U.S. pair to reach the Final in eight years.

Injury and Recovery

Unfortunately, Alexa's health issues forced the pair to miss most of the 2016-2017 season. They made their return at the Four Continents Championships in February 2017, where they placed sixth. Despite Alexa's ongoing health concerns, they qualified for the Olympics by finishing 10th at the World Championships.

Olympic Season and Post-Olympic Years

In the 2017-2018 Olympic season, Alexa and Chris won a silver medal at the U.S. International Figure Skating Classic. They placed ninth at the Grand Prix stage in Japan.

After the Olympics, Alexa and Chris continued to compete internationally. They won the 2019 U.S. national championship and earned a bronze medal at the Nebelhorn Trophy. They also competed at the World Championships, where they finished in the top 10.

Retirement Announcement

In June 2023, Alexa and Chris announced their retirement from competitive skating. They expressed gratitude for their journey together and looked forward to new chapters in their lives.
