Julianne Hough is a talented dancer, singer, and actress. She has gained fame through the popular TV show "Dancing with the Stars" on ABS channel. A Childhood on a Farm
Julianne grew up on a farm in Utah, alongside her five brothers. When she turned ten, her parents sent her to London to train with renowned ballroom dance coaches. In a distant city far from her parents, Julianne had to mature quickly. After five years in the UK, she left behind her illustrious international dance career and returned to the United States. "I really wanted to sing, and I knew that if I stayed in London, I would only be dancing. So, I had a choice to make: stay here and continue to develop as a dancer, knowing that I would become very successful, or leave everything behind and start from scratch but pursue my dream? Many people thought I was crazy, but I chose the latter."
Talent and Discipline
Julianne, a decorated dancer, settled in Los Angeles, pursuing her dream. She began working with producer David Mallory, who helped her record the song "Will You Dance With Me" for the American Red Cross. The proceeds from the song's sales went towards aiding tornado victims in Kansas. "The song became a huge success and reached the eighth position on the country charts on iTunes, even though it was never broadcast on the radio."
Debut Album and Musical Style
Julianne's debut album allows listeners to fully appreciate her style of country music and anticipate her future contributions to the genre. Her warm, expressive voice is equally suited for energetic melodies and tender ballads. "My Hallelujah Song," says Julianne, "is about the feeling that everyone needs a 'Hallelujah' song. It doesn't matter what you do, whether you work in your father's company, play football, or are a little ballerina, it is your 'Hallelujah.' I hope it makes you happy, no matter where you are, and it makes me happy to be here." Truly, Julianne Hough's life is embodied in her 'Hallelujah' song. After years of success in dance, she has finally achieved the opportunity to pursue country music and revels in it. "I was afraid that people would say, 'She thinks she can succeed in singing just because she succeeded in a famous show,'" admits Hough, "but I want to do this for the rest of my life, and I hope my music proves it better than my words." Well, it is entirely possible. Julianne's debut album showcases songs about the joys and challenges of everyday life, sung with her youthful and lyrical voice.
