Early Life
Julie Harris was born on December 2, 1925, in Port Huron, Michigan, to Elsie (nee Smith), a nurse, and William Harris, a banker. She attended Grosse Pointe Country Day School, which later became the University Liggett School.

Personal Life
Harris has been married three times and divorced three times. She has a beloved son named Peter. Despite the difficulties in her personal life, Julie never lost her spirit. When she was diagnosed with breast cancer and later suffered a stroke, she faced these challenges with courage and resilience.
Career
Julie Harris made her screen debut in 1952 in the film "The Member of the Wedding," for which she was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress. In the same year, she won her first Tony Award for Best Actress for her role as Sally Bowles in the play "I Am a Camera." She continued to shine in films such as "East of Eden," "Reflections in a Golden Eye," "Requiem for a Heavyweight," and the horror classic "The Haunting" (1963).
In the 1970s, Harris returned to the screen, delighting her fans with her exceptional performances and interesting roles. Her television work also gained recognition, particularly her role in the popular soap opera "Knots Landing," which aired from 1979 to 1993. She received three Emmy Awards for her television work.
Legacy
