Kelly Maria Ripa, an American actress and television personality, was born on October 2, 1970, in Camden County, New Jersey. Her mother, Esther Ripa, was a homemaker, and her father, Joseph Ripa, worked as a bus driver and served as the president of the Labor Union. Kelly also has a younger sister, Linda, who later became a children's book author.
Early Life and Career
Kelly attended Berlin High School in New Jersey and later Easton High School in the small town of Voorhees. It was during her high school years that she began participating in children's plays, which ultimately led to her role in the teen dance show "Dance Party USA" on the USA Network. Soon, Kelly became a regular on the show.
Rise to Fame
Kelly Ripa gained widespread recognition after her role in the soap opera "All My Children." It was on the set of this series that she met her future husband, Mark Consuelos. They got married on May 1, 1996, and now have three children: two sons, Michael Joseph and Joaquin Antonio, and a daughter, Lola Grace.
