Justin Snith: Canadian Luge Athlete
Justin Snith is a Canadian luger who has represented his country since 2008.
Early Career and Olympic Debut
Born in Calgary, Alberta, Snith began luge at the age of 10. In 2008, he joined the national team and partnered with Tristan Walker. They made their World Cup debut that season, finishing 13th in Calgary and Altenburg. Despite their inexperience, they competed in the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics, placing 15th.
World Championship Medals
Snith and Walker continued to improve, earning a bronze medal in the mixed team event at the 2012 World Championships in Altenberg. At the 2013 World Championships in Whistler, they won silver in the same discipline.
Sochi Olympics and Beyond
Snith participated in the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics, finishing fourth in the men's doubles and mixed team relay. He currently trains and resides in Calgary.
Personal Life
Outside of luge, Snith enjoys mountain biking, snowboarding, and swimming.
