Early Life and Career

A Rising Star in Azerbaijani Football

Rashad Guliyev was born in Baku, Azerbaijan, and began his football career in his home country. In the 1996/97 season, he made his debut in the Azerbaijan Premier League for Neftchi Baku.

International Stint

A Move to Ukraine

In 2002, Guliyev joined Volyn Lutsk in Ukraine. However, his time there was cut short by a severe injury in 2004. Despite being a substitute, Guliyev bravely remained on the field after sustaining a broken leg.

Return to Azerbaijan

A Resurgence with Karvan

Following his injury, Guliyev returned to Azerbaijan and signed for Karvan. He later played for Khazar Lankaran before returning to Karvan in 2005.

Later Career and Retirement

Captain of Karvan and International Success

From 2007 to 2008, Guliyev played for Standard Baku. He ended his playing career with Karvan, where he served as team captain. Guliyev also represented Azerbaijan at international level, earning 44 caps between 1999 and 2005.

Coaching Career

A Legacy in Football

Since 2011, Guliyev has worked as a scout and coach for Neftchi Baku. He continues to contribute to Azerbaijani football, passing on his knowledge and experience to the next generation of players.
