Biography of Kamill Kosowski

Kamill Kosowski is a Polish professional football player who plays as a midfielder for the Polish national team. He began his career at the club "Ostrowiec-Swietokrzyski".

Rise to Fame

Kosowski gained recognition after his performances in the UEFA Cup with Krakow's "Wisla" during the 2002/03 season. In 2003, he moved to German club "Kaiserslautern" on loan and played there until the 2005/06 season. During the 2005/06 season, he was loaned to English club "Southampton" and was subsequently called up to the national team. He scored one goal for Southampton in a match against "Hull City", which ended in a 1-1 draw. In total, Kosowski played 52 games for the Polish national team and scored 4 goals. He was selected for the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany but only appeared in one match against the Ecuadorian national team, playing for 15 minutes.

Return to Wisla and International Success

After the end of his loan spell at Italian club "Chievo", Kosowski returned to "Wisla". In the first half of the season, he became the team's top assist provider and scored 9 goals in 13 games. However, on January 14, 2008, "Wisla" terminated Kosowski's contract by mutual agreement as the player did not agree to the terms of contract extension.

Move to Spain and Cyprus

On January 25, 2008, Kosowski signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with Spanish club "Cadiz". In that season, "Cadiz" finished twentieth in the Segunda Division and was relegated to Segunda B. On July 7, 2008, he joined Cypriot club "APOEL". He signed a two-year contract. In his first official match for "APOEL", Kosowski scored the winning goal in the Cypriot Super Cup match against "Anorthosis", resulting in a 1-0 victory for Nicosia representatives. In his first season at "APOEL", Kosowski helped the club win the Cypriot championship. He played exceptionally well, showcasing his high level of play and was considered one of the club's most valuable players. He also played 5 matches in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League during the 2009/10 season, marking his debut in the prestigious competition. Kosowski later admitted that this was one of the most important moments in his career.

Move to Apollon

On May 31, 2010, Kosowski transferred to "Apollon" and signed a two-year contract.
