Personal Life and Early Years
Kate Micucci was born in New Jersey, the daughter of Italian immigrants. She spent her formative years in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, where she first took piano lessons from her mother. In 1998, she graduated from high school alongside musician Jordan White. She went on to study fine arts at Keystone College, later completing her Bachelor of Arts degree in 2003. As of 2008, she has resided in Los Angeles.
Television Career
Micucci's television appearances include commercials, guest roles in shows such as "Malcolm in the Middle," "Til Death," "How I Met Your Mother," "Cory in the House," and "Campus Ladies," and recurring roles in "Scrubs," "Raising Hope," and "The Big Bang Theory." In "Scrubs," she played ukulele-player Stephanie Gooch, performing songs like "The Happy Song," "Mr. Moon," and "Fuck You" (later changed to "Screw You").
Film and Short Films
Micucci has appeared in films such as "The Last Hurrah," "Bart Got a Room," and "When in Rome." In 2009, she starred in the short film "Imaginary Larry," which she co-wrote with her Garfunkel and Oates bandmate Riki Lindhome.
